Josie's Sweet Caviaris a small-batch specialty food business based in Laval, Québec, Canada. In these terms “we,” “us” and “our” refer to Josie's Sweet Caviar; “you” refers to anyone visiting the site or placing an order.

2. The products we sell
We sell vanilla and wild-harvested spices sourced from farms around the world. Because our products come from small harvests, colour, size, aroma, and precise composition may vary from batch to batch. Product photos on the site are representative; the exact appearance of the item you receive may differ slightly.
We reserve the right to update, discontinue, or limit any product at any time without notice.
3. Pricing and payment
All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD). Prices are subject to change without notice. The price that applies to your order is the one shown at the moment you complete checkout.
Payment is processed by Square. By placing an order you authorize us (through Square) to charge the payment method you provide for the full order total, including any applicable shipping.
Taxes: Most of what we sell is basic groceries under Canadian tax law and is zero-rated for GST/HST and QST — meaning no sales tax is added at checkout. If tax law changes or a product category ceases to qualify as basic groceries, the applicable tax will be added at that time.
4. Orders
We may refuse or cancel any order for reasons including but not limited to:
- Errors in pricing or product description on the site
- Items becoming out of stock between order and fulfillment
- Suspected fraudulent or unauthorized activity
- Delivery to a region we cannot practically ship to
If we cancel an order after payment has been captured, we will refund the full amount to your original payment method.

6. Returns and refunds
Because we sell consumable food, we do not accept returns and do not offer refunds on shipped orders except in the specific cases described in our Refunds Policy (damage in transit, wrong item received, or where applicable law otherwise requires it).
7. Your use of the site
You agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with the site’s security features
- Scrape, copy, or republish content from the site without permission
- Use automated tools to place orders, monitor pricing, or otherwise access the site in bulk
8. Intellectual property
The site’s content — text, photographs, illustrations, layout, brand marks, product descriptions — is owned by Josie's Sweet Caviar or licensed to us and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law. You may view and share the content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
9. Limitation of liability
We take reasonable care with product quality, packaging, and site security, but the site and its contents are provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Josie's Sweet Caviar is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or any product purchased through it.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law, including the Consumer Protection Act of Québec.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute will be resolved by the courts of the judicial district of Laval, Québec.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted at /legal/terms with the date of the last update at the top of the page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
